Excuse me......what time is it?
A friend once told me about Stephen Hawking's time travel theory. Hawking says that if someone builds a jet plane large enough to move at full speed for six years, one day on that jet is equivalent to one year on earth. That person will have just traveled through time. Tomorrow I will be getting in a jet and flying around the world, when I land I will be 20 hours ahead of when I started. They say time begins in Tonga because it lays almost exactly on the international date line. The begging of each new day starts in Tonga. For once I may be able to keep up with that latest fashion trends. After all I will be one of the first to see tomorrow. But the crazy part is that I will be landing in a country that is trying to catch up with the rest of the world. So tomorrow I will be flying into the future to find that past. And I could be happier to be more confused. I have no idea what the future holds, but I sure am excited to find out what it looks like.

I tried to comment on this when you wrote it, while I was in Africa but the computer was acting up.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant entry. Flows like a poem and fun to read.
